As successful international female entrepreneurs, both Maëlle and Tiffany are deeply involved with the technology industry, as investors, C-level executives, and thought leaders. Maëlle Gavet is CEO of Techstars. She has been named one of Fortune’s 40 under 40, a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, one of the Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company and was on Time Magazine’s list of the 25 Top “Female Techpreuners.” An entrepreneur at heart, Maëlle founded her first business at sixteen and went on to start two other companies. She has been a senior executive at numerous large tech companies around the world, including Ozon, the Priceline Group (OpenTable, Kayak, Booking.com) and Compass. She was also a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group for 6 years. Author of the widely-acclaimed book Trampled by Unicorns: Big Tech’s Empathy Problem and How to Fix It (Wiley, 2020), she is currently based in New York City.
Tiffany Xingyu Wang co-founded Oasis Consortium, a non-profit organization to create a new digital sustainability model for businesses to adopt. She is also the Chief Strategy Officer at Spectrum Labs, a contextual AI platform set to build a safer internet. Tiffany Xingyu is an advisor and investor in blockchain and quantum computing companies. She is a venture partner at Tribe, a Singapore government-backed blockchain accelerator, leading investor relations in the US. Previously, she led the AI product development of the Data Management Platform at Salesforce.com. Before turning into a tech enterprise leader, she was an award-winning investor across Africa, Asia, and Europe. Her accolades include the Thomson Reuters PFI Awards 2012 and 2014 and the Malaysian Greentech Award. She also advised Southeast Asian governments on investment policies. The global connections and perspectives allow her to build inclusive and diverse teams and cultures now at Oasis Consortium and Spectrum Labs. Tiffany Xingyu is a keynote speaker and expert at the intersection of AI and Trust & Safety, featured by major media, tech conferences, and governmental initiatives. She has been published in Harvard Business Review and Forbes. She also hosts the Brand Safety Exchangepodcast, which is a destination for digital user safety thought leaders. The podcast is in the top 10% of podcasts in the world.
