According to The Financial Times, the Beauty Industry was “on the cusp of a boom” prior to 2020. As the world grapples with a pandemic and the largest social movement in decades, consumer behavior has evolved, and our collective priorities have shifted.

Wendy Gerber is President of the International Consulting Group, a global strategy and marketing consulting firm driving growth with a triple bottom line approach—focused on revenue growth, social impact, and sustainability. Wendy works with CEOs and senior business leaders across industry sectors, including fashion and beauty, to spearhead innovation, branding, ESG, marketing, and communications strategies & execution. She has worked with Ralph Lauren, Kenneth Cole, and Steve Madden and their licensees & portfolio brands, as well as with financial institutions including Citigroup, and consultancies including BCG, McKinsey and Siegelvision.

As the head of L’Oréal’s Global Technology Incubator, Guive has helped L’Oréal evolve from the world’s foremost beauty company to a technology player that is empowering consumers through personalized products that solve their individual beauty and wellness desires. In this role, Guive oversees L’Oréal’s Technology Incubator and its labs in New York, New Jersey, San Francisco, Japan, and France.

Raheel Khan serves as the Vice President of Corporate Category & Innovation Strategy at Estée Lauder Companies. Raheel leads global category and innovation strategy for the enterprise, acting as a strategic advisor supporting brands and the Executive Leadership Team to drive subcategory share gains through deploying in-house strategic insights, analytics, and trends. Raheel’s team consists of strategists, consumer insight experts, and data scientists who help ELC focus creativity through data & analytics for real-time decision making that drives impact.

 

 

 

Olivier Zimmer Headshot

 

Olivier Zimmer co-founded Spate, a machine intelligence solution for finding the next big trend in beauty and consumer goods. Spate analyzes over 10 billion consumer behavior signals from across the web to identify new white-space opportunities for brands. Previously, Olivier spent 10 years at Google where he and his Spate co-founder started Google’s Trend-spotting division while leading the data science team. He spotted trends such as face masks, turmeric, and cold brew before it was a thing.
