The order will primarily impact individuals currently outside the United States seeking a visa stamp at a U.S. consulate or embassy abroad. Hundreds of thousands of foreigners seeking employment in the U.S. are on “hold” and foreign companies are not able anymore to send their employees abroad. Future is uncertain.
For the ones already in the U.S., the order does not impact foreign nationals with a current visa but many of them are wondering about renewal, visa extension time and pursuing permanent residency.
